Introduction to Yoga Series
A 5 week series, ideal for those who have never taken a yoga class before, or those who want to "begin again" (get a refresher).  During each of the first four weeks, we'll discuss the benefits of a variety of beginner level yoga postures.  Students will learn detailed points of alignment and modifications (including the use of props) to make the posture meet their own needs. During the 5th class, we'll put it all together into a typical yoga class.  New yoga students will gain the confidence they need to begin a regular weekly class. This series is run several times a year.

Virtual World Yoga Conference
The 1st Annual Virtual World Yoga Conference, entitled “Yoga, Health & Happiness”, is a three-day conference scheduled to take place from Friday, February 19th to Sunday, February 21st, 2010. It is "virtual" which means that workshops and classes will be delivered to you via the phone or internet. This means you can stay at home or get together with friends, and connect via the phone or Internet with experts all over the world who will share tools and techniques on yoga and on living a fulfilling and happy life. You get to experience classes and learn from experts, including participating in live Q&A sessions, without paying travel, hotel, or food costs that are usually associated with conferences.

For three days straight, people from around the globe will gather virtually to participate in workshops, lectures, yoga classes, and meditations. There will be a minimum of 10 one-hour sessions scheduled each day for all three days, and all sessions will be open to anyone who is interested in yoga and wellness.

Busy this weekend? No problem - Since this is a virtual conference, each event will be recorded and ready for replay, allowing you to listen to the recordings of each workshop when it fits your schedule.

Restorative Yoga for Stress Relief
Similar to the relaxation period at the end of yoga class, only with additional postures.  The idea of restorative yoga is to let your body relax as much as possible, so we use props to support our bodies in the postures, rather than using the strength of our muscles.  The postures are held for extended periods of time, allowing the stress to fade away from your body.  This class is great for those who need more relaxation in their lives, are interested in yoga but have low energy, or are recovering from an injury or illness.  (This class is not currently running due to low attendance.  If you have interest, please let me know.  Classes will start again when sufficient interest exists.)
